What a cute couple! I bet they're a riot to party with! They sure do look like a happy stoner couple! I love this picture! I like how they're smiling with straws in their mouths. Talent! That looks like one hell of a drink, it almost looks like a small fountain. Cool.

What Inspired you to start growing your own?

My boyfriend, Ryan, started about 3 1/2 years ago, so he is the OG lol. I started about 2 years ago. We have been growing the plant you see pictures of together. It's nice to have a hobby with the hubby! ;)  My inspiration was Ryan, and his passion he showed for his plants and his daily routine with them. I saw the happiness it brought him and I wanted to experience that for myself. Also, money is another reason - you grow it, you smoke it for free!!

I learned a lot from Ryan, but also have done my own research. I just look up things on the Internet, I have certain pages I refer to and some I like more than others lol. I have also looked in to other peoples work and read their comments, if they had any suggestions, if they had any bumps in the road, etc.

The equipment we use is very simple. We have a decent sized closet we have the plant in. We used 2 normal grow lights purchased from Home Depot, a small fan to cool things down, spraying the plant with water regularly, an occasional spray of bloom booster by Miracle Grow, and a routine light schedule; 12 hours on, 12 hours off. We used to use a little trick of putting banana peels in to a spray bottle of water, let it ferment, and spray about every other day. We saw great results with this concoction with the last plant we grew, but the bloom booster is the cats meow! This plant is our best, by far.

I haven't been a grower too long, and we have always used a good looking seed to germinate from a mids bag! (I know not the best, but rarely do you come across a seed in a bag of some good weed) So I do not have a preference in strain.

We balance taking care of our plant by making sure we have good communication, knowing what times each of us will be at the house. Most of the time at least one of us is here to tend to the plant at the required time. We don't have any kids but both work long days, so we have had a few bumps with our schedules and turning the lights on and off, but we always find a way. This plant has come out the best, so we must be doing something right ;D

The goals I have set as a grower is to just keep going down the path I am going. With every plant grown, they get better and better, and I enjoy seeing my progress :)

I use Cannabis for a number of reasons, pain included. Cannabis relieves any stomach pains I have, whatever Aunt Flo decides to throw at me ;) and it's a pretty good cure for a hangover too! I use Cannabis as a stress reliever and to mellow out. There is nothing better than coming home to a blunt or bong pack to unwind. It enhances my mood and makes me feel better as a person, and makes me see the best in every situation. I feel you really get to know someone and are able to connect with them better while sharing some smoke. Conversations are better, life is better with Cannabis :) I was also involved in a very bad car accident and shattered my ankle. 5 surgeries later brought me to being bed ridden for 6 months, so, smoking was one of my favorite past times!! It not only eased the pain of my ankle, but it also helped me from slipping in to a depression, over-thinking what I could have done differently, and just all around relaxed me. I support the legalization of Cannabis 100% and I only wish this process was put in to motion sooner. A lot of people may have been cured, saved, and healed. Cannabis is my number 1 healer and I love growing and enjoying this wonderful plant :) I could go on for days about my love for Cannabis and what it's done to my life, but I think you had enough to read already lol.

I do not make any other products. I actually just did my first dab ever the other night, wow! ;) lol

I am a care giver, that's my job!! :) I take care of the elderly and people who cannot function or need help with daily life. It's such a rewarding job!

Helpful Tips from the Green Thumb Girls Master Gardener: I normally don't butt in but I just want to give Miss Puff and others a heads up on all products made by Scott's aka Miracle Grow. For one, they can NOT be trusted and the following facts should be enough to scare a few people away from their products.

Sale of toxic bird seed in 2005–2008[edit]

On January 27, 2012, Scotts Miracle-Gro agreed to plead guilty in federal court and pay $4.5 million in fines for selling 73 million units of bird seed from November 2005 to March 2008 that was coated with pesticide known to be deadly to birds and fish. Pesticides were added to protect the product from insects during storage, notwithstanding that Storcide II, one of the pesticides used, was clearly marked as extremely toxic to birds. Records show that its own experts warned of the risk in the summer and fall of 2007 and yet Scotts continued to sell the deadly product until March 2008. In 2008, Scotts Miracle-Gro also falsified pesticide registration numbers required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on its products.[5]

On September 7, 2012, Ohio, federal court sentenced Scotts to pay a $4 million fine and perform community service for 11 criminal violations of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). In a separate agreement with theEnvironmental Protection Agency, Scotts agreed to pay more than $6 million in penalties and spend $2 million on environmental projects. According to the Justice Department, both the criminal and civil settlements are the largest under FIFRA to date.

"People often ask me if Miracle-Gro is organic. My response is usually, “Who cares?”

The majority of Miracle-Gro’s product line is filled with chemicals and synthetics. They do have some product that is organic and certified by OMRI.

Scott’s, the parent company of Miracle-Gro, is in bed with Monsanto and are the exclusive agent of Round-Up.

For me, I don’t care how organic one small part of their product line is because ultimately it is going to a company that I cannot support. I’d rather source my fertilizer and other gardening needs from elsewhere than to get organics from a company that I don’t believe in.

This is what it all comes down to. It’s not just about being organic. It’s about what your money is supporting.

I don’t care how organic their product is. As consumers, we vote with our dollars. When you give your dollar to a company like Scott’s you are supporting what they are doing. Even if you buy their organic product, it’s still going to the same company.

Once I learned this, I refused to purchase any more Scott’s and Miracle-Gro products. I also do not recommend them to anyone."

About The Owner Of Miracle Grow Co.

Excuse my French but fuck that nasty company. Their products were not designed for cannabis growth. If you're spraying it on your plants and not washing them before you smoke it then you're smoking those residuals. The plants I've seen grown with Miracle Grow anything are always leafier. A much better product that is economical is Old Age Products....

They have a bloom formula as well. You will notice a difference. I promise.

Online forums can be a crappy source for info because you have to weed through so much misinformation and online beefs to find a scrap of worthwhile information. You're better off spending $20 for a good " Grow Bible" and sourcing a professional before hitting the World Wide Web.
