I got certified because of a bad dip!!
I was slow dancing with this guy when he unexpectedly dipped me & dipped me so low I heard my knee make a LOUD popping sound. It was so loud I could hear it over the band that was blaring next to us. I had to be helped off the dance floor & driven home. I didn't have insurance at the time so I just put on a neoprene brace, took a week off of work and let it heal as is. I never saw the doc until years later because it was bugging me. I had it X-rayed which reveiled it was an ACL injury with some other crap going on with it. That was MY qualifying condition but not the main reason I use medical marijuana. I use it for religious purposes, stress, and pain in other parts of my body that I could probably get a card for too (back pain).
For pain I prefer to take it orally, be it a tincture, yummy candy or a brownie. I find it works on my pain etc better than smoking it. Combining the two,
Smoking & taking it orally is the ultimate in relief.
I know it's scary getting your card, I was nervous, I hate going to any doctors because I'm a wuss... a big baby.
I have had a medical Marijuana (self caregiver) card for four years now and couldn't imagine life without it. I didn't want to prescription drugs the doctors offered me & I recently told one (not in these exact words) that I didn't want any of those stinking pill! I told him I was using cannabis and he was really cool about it and thought that was just fine. I was relieved to say the least.
